Poetic Justice. Twists and Braids

I just wanted to update you guys on my protective styles that I’ve been wearing for the past 3 months. In February, 2013, I had Senegalese twist installed for the first time and it was wonderful. I kept them in for 10 weeks. I took them out in April and opted for box braids the second time around. They are still in and very long and beautiful. 22 inches to be exact! I plan on wearing extensions and protective styles throughout the summer. Because I was new to extensions and didn’t understand how to properly care for them, I washed my first set of twists every week for 10 weeks. Needless to say, they were very frizzy within a short period of time. I’ve learned my lesson since then. I have been very gentle with the water and found creative ways to cleanse my scalp and my own hair while wearing my box braids. I hope you enjoy the pics and please share how you care for your Senegalese twists or box braids.

With Love,

Nick
